AESTHETICS & LASERS

Botox & Dysport

BOTOX® or DYSPORT® are the treatments of choice for the dynamic wrinkles, the movement-related lines and grooves in your face. Importantly, by relaxing specific muscles of facial expression Doctor Tower shapes the face for a more attractive balanced expression.

As a facial surgeon, Dr. Tower has the experience and knowledge of facial anatomy. He knows the subtleties of the face and how you can reach your aesthetic goals. Dr. Tower likes to use BOTOX to control the eyebrow position and contour by relaxing the eyebrows apart and upward – a “BOTOX Browlift” and shaping. Dermal fillers like JUVEDERM® can be used to complement the effects of BOTOX so it is longer lasting. A tiny amount of BOTOX precisely injected, relaxes specific muscles and allows the body’s own collagen to regenerate in those lines formed from repetitive movement. BOTOX can be used so artfully so as to have a subtle softening effect that is neither obvious nor takes away our ability to communicate. Importantly, BOTOX can be used to shape the face by the advanced balanced injection to muscles of facial expression. Even subtle changes can be made in droopy eyelids and gummy smile. BOTOX and DYSPORT are purified proteins and should be injected by the most experienced specialist in a medical setting to achieve a safe, natural and finessed result. Each lasts for 3 to 4 months. Dr. Tower will help you decide which is right for you. Call us for a consultation: 503-227-5075.

Fillers

Facial fillers, which are also known as “dermal fillers” and “injectables,” are temporary to long-lasting solutions administered through a few tiny injections on specific areas of the face.

Each filler is designed with one or several purposes, such as wrinkle and fold reduction, facial volume augmentation, lip shaping and under eye holllow correction. Doctor Tower will evaluate your results with you to determine how many treatments you will need to achieve your desired volume and shape.

Juvéderm Volbella

Doctor Tower likes to use Juvéderm® Volbella for shaping the lips – restoring the more youthful profile and contour.

Juvéderm® is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid—a naturally occurring substance in your body that helps to add volume and hydration. There is no need for skin testing.

Juvéderm Vollure

Dr. Tower eases Juvéderm® injectable gel under the skin to instantly restore your skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds. Juvéderm® provides a smooth, natural look and feel. The thicker form of Juvéderm® is used to contour – enhancing the cheeks and jawline, softening folds. Juvéderm® filler and BOTOX® relaxer done together are synergistic and may make each last longer.

Juvéderm Voluma

Voluma creates a soft “lift” to the cheek area, fills hollow temples, and defines the jawline. Voluma affords more definition than Juvéderm® Ultra and Ultra Plus. Europe and Canada have enjoyed the availability of Voluma for years and now Dr Tower’s patients are benefiting from the beautiful and long lasting lift. Like the other Juvéderms®, Voluma is a carbohydrate gel which can be dissolved with an enzyme very easily. In general there is very little swelling, there is immediate volume correction and very long duration – up to two years.

Restylane

Restylane is Doctor Tower’s preferred filler for the under-eye area, or “tear trough.” Made from biodegradable hyaluronic acid, Restylane® is very similar to Perlane, but is more often used for facial wrinkles such as frown lines and downturned lip lines. The effects of Restylane® can be expected to last about 8 months to a year. Due to its safety and the potential longevity of its effects, Restylane® was the first FDA approved hyaluronic acid filler in the US. By filling in the hollow tear trough area, dark shadows under the eyes may be corrected. Dr. Tower is an orbital specialist with extensive knowledge and experience in periorbital and eyelid reconstruction and rejuvenation.

Restylane Lyft

Doctor Tower uses Restylane Lyft to lift the cheeks and straighten the jawline. Restylane® Lyft is hyaluronic acid–based injectable filler that gives volume to deflated areas of the face. By adding to the cheek area, it lifts and reduces the depth of the nasolabial folds (smile lines). By adding to the jawline near the ears, Perlane can reduce the appearance of jowls. This gel is injected under your normal tissue to lift and volumize the face, lasting about 1 year.

Restylane Silk

Restylane Silk is the newest fine line filler FDA approved for lip reflation and fine lines. Restylane studies show stimulation of collagen in the lines treated to give an even longer lasting result. These smoother HA’s are used by Dr. Tower to smooth under eye hollows in thin skinned patients.

Restylane DeFyne and ReFyne

Doctor Tower has been delighted with the latest introduction of these supple HA gels. Using elegant technology, these next generation fillers have flexibility to harmonize perfectly with your unique expressions naturally.

KYBELLA

A new, non-surgical procedure for the "double-chin," Kybella is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment that is used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat).

Micro-Needling

Microneedling is a form of collagen induction therapy. As we age and battle skin conditions, the natural architecture of our skin deteriorates, which leads to fine lines, wrinkles, large pores and uneven skin texture. Collagen induction therapy also known as microneedling, is a great way to address these signs of aging at the cellular level. Microneedling comfortably creates thousands of micro-injuries in the skin to trigger the body’s natural wound healing process. This results in skin remodeling, including the formation of collagen and elastin, the two proteins predominantly responsible for the structure of the skin. The outcome is beautiful, youthful looking skin.

Platelet-Rich Plasma

Perhaps the Fountain-of-Youth has always been inside us. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is finding applications throughout the medical specialties. Drawing upon your very own healing powers, a small amount of blood is taken from your vein. Our Aesthetic Nurse Specialist, Tara RN, then processes the withdrawal harvesting your own PRP.  This special and unique plasma can then be used in combination with a variety of procedures and unique applications including our microneedling device and our hybrid laser. Your PRP can even be injected into hollows under the eyes for volumization, into the face for overall rejuvenation, or into the scalp for hair restoration.

Forever Young BBL (IPL)

Broad Band Light (BBL)/Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy consists of a series of 4 to 6 treatments in which a broad spectrum of light is transmitted through a small, smooth transparent hand piece gently placed over the skin. BBL/IPL passes through the top layer of skin (epidermis) and penetrates to the deeper layer (dermis) where blood vessels, pigment cells, and collagen are found. Because the epidermis is unharmed, the severe redness and peeling associated with traditional laser skin resurfacing is avoided. The gentle, non-ablative treatments can be used to treat the face, chest, neck and hands — virtually anywhere that sun damage shows. Intense pulsed light also reduces brown spots, erases broken capillaries, smoothes roughly textured skin, and diminishes flushing or redness of the face associated with Rosacea. BBL/IPL treatment is ideal for patients with active lifestyles as it requires no downtime and has a low risk of side effects.

Patients that have been treated with Forever Young BBL over the past 9 years have noticed that they appeared not to have aged over the nine years and looked 10 years younger than their actual age.

HALO LASER

Over time, your skin can lose its youthful glow due to sun exposure and your body’s natural aging process. As a result, your body may develop sun spots, fine lines, and lose that natural healthy glow. Previous lasers couldn’t effectively remove this damage, because the treatment was either too shallow or too deep. Halo eliminates years of damage by precisely targeting the right depth. Halo restores the luminous glow you had when you were younger.

The Halo is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser. It simultaneously delivers non-ablative and ablative wavelengths in a single pass over the skin.

An ablative laser has long been considered one of the most effective treatments for improving the signs of aging. By removing the outer layers of damaged skin, the skin is forced to heal, increase collagen production and restructure, making way for tighter, rejuvenated skin. The downfall of an ablative laser is the recovery and downtime needed, often 1-2 weeks.

A non-ablative laser treatment is far less invasive with little-to-no downtime. By heating up the outer layers of skin but not removing them, a non-ablative laser treatment is popular for patients who need to return to their everyday lives right after treatment. The downfall here is a series of several treatments are needed to achieve desired results with a non-ablative procedure.

The Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser focuses energy on the deeper collagen layer of skin leaving the surface of your skin largely in tact for a quicker healing time. It delivers the results of an ablative procedure with little-to-no downtime, like a non-ablative treatment. The best of both worlds!
